Our trip to Coats Rica::

We just returned from our wonderful visit to Costa Rica and wanted to thank you for the great trip. From the time we landed and "Sergio" picked us up and safely delivered us to Costa Verde, until we flew out this morning, ALL was smooth and enjoyable. Please let all involved know how much we appreciate their kindness and the time they took with our children. Your people added a great deal to the experience. We did not want to leave. Lorena, thank you for your patience and for all the help you were in putting together this trip. If you could control the weather you would have been absolutely perfect in your planning! We really do thank you for a great experience and all the time spent with all our questions. I hope to be planning a return trip with you soon. I just wanted to send you an email and let you know that our trip was absolutely wonderful. I cannot say enough about how professional and courteous all of the people from Costa Rican Trails were. On every part of the trip, people were on time (even early!) to pick us up and bring us to our next location. From the moment we were picked up at the airport until the moment we were dropped back off again, everything worked out perfect.In addition, the accommodations were great. We loved the Laguna lodge - our guide went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of, including making sure we got up in time to catch our flight!And the Makanda by the sea.it was spectacular. I want to tell you that we had a wonderful time in Costa Rica!! It made me nervous to stay in a hotel we had only seen a couple pictures of, but the Hotel Fleur de Lys is beautiful and it became our second home while we were there. Everyone was so nice to us in Costa Rica. It was beautiful there!With my own eyes, I have seen an active volcano, a tropical waterfall, a rain forest, tropical fish in the ocean, tucans, and so much more. And the bungalow we stayed in while we were in the Arenal area, at the Hotel Arenal Paraiso, had a beautiful view of the volcano. We decided to do the zip-line canopy gliding too, what fun! The food was quite good everywhere we ate. And I didn't get a single mosquite bite - but my friends got a few. What a great time! There are many people here in Florida who want to visit Costa Rica, and you can bet I will be referring your company and the hotels where we stayed. Thank you so much for all of your assistance. Hola Lorena, Our trip to Costa Rica was wonderful. You have a beautiful country and all the Ticans we met were very kind. We are all home safe and sound, and arrived to snow andabout -20c temperatures. We would like to thank you for the great job you did organizing our trip. We had a wonderful time in Costa Rica.Thank you for recommending the Peace Lodge. Lill and Jennifer thought it was an amazing place. We will definitely stay at the Peace Lodge on our next trip.The visit to Arenal was excellent. The day we arrived the clouds were just lifting and we got a good view of the volcano. Our guide told us that the volcano had been covered by clouds for the past two months and this was the first day it was clear.Staying at the Country Inn worked out well. I was meaning to drop a few lines sooner, but have been very busy since returning to Canada. In any case, I just wanted to let you know how our trip to Costa Rica was. Everything from the moment we stepped off the airplane was excellent! A rep from CR trails met us, and took us to our first hotel where he explained everything in detail. The trip to La Paz and Poas' was beautiful and informative. We were quite lucky and got to see Poas' when it was not socked in by fog, although this only lasted for about 1 minute, we still snapped some great pictures. Our city tour of San Jose was nice. We actually got lost in Downtown San Jose, but with the help of a police officer who stood by while 3 taxi cab drivers (or at least they claimed to be) tried to get us to come with them. After getting rid of the faux taxi drivers, we found a real cab and got back to our hotel. We then departed for Arenal. Our first day was spent at the Tabacon hotsprings. I prebooked spa treatments. This was one of the most beautiful parts of our trip. The next day we hiked Arenal, and were once again very lucky and the volcano's cone was 100% clear. We got to see a eruption during the day, and have some amazing photos. I only wish we could have seen a night eruption. Manuel Antonio proved to be the most enjoyable part of our trip. We took a snorkelling trip, and a surfing lesson in addition to our rafting trip and sunset sail cruise. This is a beautiful part of the country. Our tours and transfers picked us up when they said they would. Each and every one of our tour guides was professional and knowledgeable. On tours such as the canopy and whitewater rafting I felt completely safe. We spoke to other couples who tried to book everything themselves to save money, but had very bad experiences. I can say our experience was stressfree, and well worth that Costa Rican Trails book everything for us, rather than doing it ourselves. Costa Ricans are a very friendly and kind people, who helped us whenever we needed it. I am recommending Costa Rica to anyone who is looking to take a vacation. I am also suggesting CR trails to everyone. My aunt and uncle are looking to go down within the next year. I have referred them to you. In terms of your personal service to us, I want to say a Thank - You! From the first day I e-mailed, you were always very prompt with your responses, and provided lots of information to help us make informed decisions. You are very good at what you do, and it shows. I just wanted to write and let you know what a superb job you did. We have traveled to over 40 countries and we have rarely experienced such a professional and enjoyable tour. JUST Came back fron Feb trip SJO/Jaco/Manton.Quepos::

:D Thanks for a great trip!Another thank you to Lorena the person who set us up with reservations and a driver.henry our driver was great by the way.everything went well just as planned .We are usually a large group of 24 but this year its 3 couples, who travel every year together. We started in San jose and we stayed 1 night at Fler de leurs a great swiss hotel very clean and hospitable.we will be back for 2 nights next time! Then to Tabacon resort(arenal area for a couple of nights. Be sure to hit the happy our in the hot springs 430-630 (2 for 1). At night it is beautiful as well. Volcano hike was very good and informative.it erupted and was very active when we were there. Then 3 days at jaco beach great beach and access to to super easy! The hotel Pechote grande was nothing fancy but very clean, and owners and employees made our stay. We will be back there for more days too! Then to manuel antonio. We stayed at the mariposa-awesome sunsets, great views and beautiful hotel.Probably the best hotel I ever stayed in. Walking around is not the easiest there, and very expensive! I recommend a taxi because roads have no sidewalks and everything is uphill on the way back! Next time if I visit Quepos/manuel Antonio I would stay at a smaller hotel next to or preferable across the street from the beach.Thanks again and we will return next year with a large group!marybeth :lol:

My wife and I would like to say a great big "Muchas gracias" for the wonderful trip you put together with us.  We all absolutely loved the trip, including the kids, from the gorgeous locations, the wildlife and fishes we saw, all the beautiful resorts we stayed in, and especially the wonderful Costa Ricans.  Your people are a true national treasure that we cannot say enough great things about.  The side tours and excursions were excellent, with very knowledgeable and friendly guides, the duration of stay at each location was just right, and we came back with a great appreciation for your beautiful country.If we had to choose what was the single best location and experience, we all agreed on Jinetes de Osa and Corcovado rainforest.  While the rains and wetness were constant, the scenery was spectacular, and our hosts were superb.  We only hope that the proposed new international airport down there is never developed, as it would most certainly mar the overall landscape and scenary, introduce more waste and pollution, and totally ruin the experience of that very special region.  Its major appeal is its remoteness - without this, why should anyone bother to go to Costa Rica when they can go to Busch Gardens in Florida? Your hard work and excellent communication over the months it took us to design the itinerary provided us a trip we will always remember fondly.  All the Costa Rican Trails' representatives were on time at each location we went to, and were very friendly and helpful.  We would highly recommend your agency, and certainly use your services again when we plan our next trip (eastern-Caribbean?)!
