Pranamar - Malpais / Santa Teresa Costa Rica
The hotel includes a beautiful irregular shaped pool, out of blue ceramic tiles. It is surrounded by lush trees and perfect terrace for sunbathing. During the day a snack bar is available offering a selection of drinks and a menu of light meals. Close by there is an abundance of attractive bars and multicultural restaurants.

In a picturesque thatched roof gazebo you can find fitness machines and yoga classes are offered. Artistic tropical gardens surround Esencia Hotel with flowering plants and low indirect lighting, creating a special and unique atmosphere.
While at the hotel you can enjoy these amazing activities:-Yoga -Surfing -Massage -Pilates -Snorkeling -Horseback riding -Hiking -Fishing -Canopy zip lining -Sea kayaking -ATV tours Pranamar also features a swimming pool, and a gift shop. Throughout the year the hotel hosts Yoga retreats and workshops with international teachers and their resident Yoga teacher. They offer all-inclusive yoga vacations according to the client’s desires and needs. Also the hotel offers daily classes taught by certified, professional instructors.
Pranamar features a restaurant with spectacular views and an exotic, relaxed atmosphere. Taste some of Costa Rica's local fruits and vegetables, explore creative vegetarian cooking or experience fish and seafood bought from local fishermen of the Peninsula. Their menu has a strong emphasis on using organic and locally produced products whenever possible. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served seven days a week and the restaurant is open to the public. Dinner reservations are recommended.
Pranamar features different types of rooms, among which you can find 6 villas, 3 boungalows, and the Kula House:
THE VILLAS
The elegantly designed villas built with Costa Rican hardwoods, bamboo and plenty of windows and doors, invite guests to enjoy nature and ocean views in an intimate setting. Each two-story villa has two air-conditioned bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and plenty of decks and terraces. Luxurious granite stone tubs surrounded by tropical gardens give a unique, exotic touch to their open-air bathrooms.
Decorated with imported, hand-crafted Indonesian furniture and floating around a free-form pool, the villas create a relaxed, romantic atmosphere complimented by their natural surroundings.
All six villas include: air-conditioned bedrooms, fans, a private garden bathroom with sunken granite tubs, laptop size security safe, and 2 king beds or 1 king and 2 twins (depending on your preference). The two oceanfront luxury villas sit directly in front of the beach, offering uninterrupted sunset views. Also includes a full kitchen, oversized verandas and extra spacious rooms.
BUNGALOWS
Their three spacious bungalows were built with certified pinewood and offer guests simplicity and comfort with an ecological consciousness. Enormous ocean-facing decks allow guests to enjoy the sunsets and relax with the ocean breeze, while a small living space with built-in sofas offers a private lounging area. The bungalows include: one queen bed, fans, small refrigerator, and a laptop size security safe (one bungalow has a small kitchen)
THE KULA HOUSE
This large two story house is perfect for families or a group of friends that want to feel at home with all the luxuries of being at a hotel. Downstairs is a bedroom, connected to a small living room and kitchen, with large windows and doors opening out to an enormous deck. Upstairs is a giant bedroom and bath with amazing ocean views and plenty of space to relax on the terrace. Sleeps up to 7 persons.It includes: full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, fans, large deck and terrace with ocean view, and a laptop size security safe. Relax on cushions with a green tea cocktail or sip a passion fruit and mint smoothie before enjoying a meal of organic greens, locally- made cheese, or fresh-caught fish of the day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served seven days a week and the restaurant is open to the public.

Their vegetables come from family-owned organic farms or straight from their garden, fish is caught locally and served fresh, all their meats are organic and our dishes utilizes local, seasonal ingredients creating wonderful flavors and culinary experiences.
Santa Teresa
he hotel is located in the southern-most tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, just minutes away from Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve. BY AIR The easiest way to get there is by air with any of our local airlines. You will have to fly into Tambor, the flight takes only 25 minutes, and from there you will have to drive 50 minutes more to get to the hotel. BY LAND The drive from San Jose to Pranamar will be from 4 to 5 hours. You have to drive to Puntarenas for about 1- 1.5 hours, and there you will have to take a ferry to get to Paquera Port. The ferry is called Ferry Tambor, but it goes to Paquera. The ferry crossing is about 1 hour, it is a nice scenic view and a good opportunity to stretch and rest from the drive. Once in Paquera follow the signs that say "Malpaís" or "Santa Teresa". The paved road will end in Cobano, and from there, you will ride on a gravel road. A four wheel drive vehicle is strongly recommended. It is about 1 hour and 20 minutes drive. You just drive in a straight line, don’t turn anywhere. Once you get to the famous “Malpaís and Santa Teresa” crossroad, you must take a right towards Santa Teresa and drive for about 5 km. The hotel is located on the left side (Ocean side).
