Ropa: Costa Rica es un país muy informal. Las ropas formales se usan solo en la ciudad de San José y en ocasiones muy especiales (bodas, cumpleaños, aniversarios).
Recomendamos traer suéter para las zonas altas y camisas, pantalones o jeans ligeros y holgados para las tierras bajas. Para las visitas a la playa, no olvide traer una gorra o sombrero, protector solar y anteojos de sol.
Para visitar el bosque lluvioso y los Parques Nacionales recomendamos botas para caminar, una mochila pequeña, botella de agua, cuchilla, foco, repelente contra insectos, impermeable y un par de binoculares para observar a los animales.

You should be arriving in Puerto Jimenez on your own account by around lunch-time. Then, an hour and a half transfer along beautiful remote beaches and through rainforests to Carate, the wildestand most remote region on the mainland,a natural beauty, with trees full of monkeys and scarlet macaws with the highest breeding concentration in the world! The tents face the ocean and are nestled under coconut tres. Where else can you wake up in the rainforest with the sound of waves crashing only a few steps away?
Corcovado National Park has one of the highest levels of biodiversity in the world. The climate is very hot and humid which enables the trees to grow to heights of up to 70 meters. The park contains one fourth of the tree species of Costa Rica. Corcovado National Park encompasses eight habitats from mangrove swamp to rain forest. The park protects over 400 species of birds, 116 species of amphibians and reptiles and 139 mammals.
We will depart early in the morning to begin the long,hot hike through the forest where monkeys play in the trees above our heads and anteaters can be seen through the bushes and along the beautiful sandy beach. The hiking time is approximately 6 hours.
Overnight: Sirena Shelter at Corcovado National Park (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Your base camp, the Sirena Ranger Station, overlooks a spectacular, wild, tropical beach surrounded by a vast rainforest wilderness. Habitat of the jaguar, tapir, squirrel monkey,peccaries and a healthy population of scarlet macaws - one of the best places in Central America to watch wildlife. Today you hike and explore the surroundings of the Sirena Ranger Station including a night walk with flashlights in search of nocturnal wildlife.
We will depart early in the morning to begin the long, hot hike through dense rainforest. The hiking time across the heart of Corocvado is approximately 7 hours. Once we arrive at the National Park exit at the Los Patos Ranger Station, we will be transferred to Puerto Jiménez.
After breakfast, return to San Jose on your own, or continue to your next destination.
